I tend to enjoy beach all inclusive holidays eating and drinking loads but having done multi centres in Cuba i am changing my views. Getting to see so many different areas but also getting to interact with locals makes you realise just how much is going on outside of the hotel if you was just staying all inclusive.

St Giles has announced that it will launch a new hotel in Cuba, making it the first UK hotel group to open a property on the island since diplomatic relation were resumed between the U.S and Cuba last year. The company will redevelop the Hotel Deauville on the Malecon in Havana, and rebrand it as The Deauville – A St Giles Signature Hotel, with an opening scheduled for 2019.
Long-haul carrier Virgin Atlantic began its service from London Gatwick to Varadero at the beginning of April, and soon expects to welcome aboard 28,000 British passengers. The route opens up a new area of the island, as previously only flights to Havana (a two-hour drive away from Varadero) were available.
