Discover Amazing Havana - Day Tour

Havana is a city absolutely bursting with vibrancy. A complicated bundle of juxtapositions: old and new, shabby and noble. The only way to understand Havana is to jump in and experience it. This day trip will show you the colonial and modern day Havana and leave your senses awakened.

Immerse yourself in fascinating, cultural Havana for a day

It's impossible to talk about Havana without mentioning architecture. The capital city has a number of castles and fortresses, originally built to keep out pirates and protect the Spanish colony. One of the most impressive of these forts is the Morro, where you will start your tour. Sitting at the entrance to Havana Bay, you really can't miss this imposing rock structure with its high walls and lighthouse, and during this trip, you will venture inside to learn about its long history.

As you stroll around the cobbled streets of Old Havana and along the seafront in Malecon, you will see countless more examples of incredible architecture, from amazing colonial monuments to dilapidated tenements, grand embassies to iconic churches; you can read the history of Havana from its streets. There will be opportunities for you to pick up souvenirs including the typical cigars and rum, but also traditional leather goods, carved wooden trinkets and jewellery, so you can take a slice of Cuban culture home with you.

It's hard to wander through Havana without noticing the iconic image of Che Guevara staring back at you. A revolutionary hero, his face still adorns the sides of buildings, bars and, of course, T-shirts. Another thing synonymous with Havana is 1950s style, and you can still see glimmers of this in the old cars and even among some of the residents.

You will encounter real Cuban flavour here, with salsa music and drumming echoing in your ears, and the taste of real Havana rum on your lips. The smell of Cohiba cigars and fumes from vintage cars also add to the true Cuban atmosphere. It's impossible not to feel swept away by the romance and charm of this city is inhabitants; the charming Habaneros.
