The Las Terrazas Aparthotel is a great choice for families, or anyone looking for a bit more space or independence than a traditional hotel. Each apartment has one, two or three bedrooms, as well as kitchen facilities, meaning guests can choose their own timetable during their stay. This can be ideal for families not wanting to stick to rigid hotel dining times, or for those wishing to cook for fussy eaters. However, there are three restaurants on site, also, as well as two bars and a disco. Situated off the beaten track, just outside of Havana, the beachfront location of the Las Terrazas Aparthotel is quieter than many city centre hotels. The aparthotel has two swimming pools, with one being just for children. There are tennis courts and a games room also, and with the hotel being so close to the beach, water sports and other beach activities are always available. This is a great place to keep the kids entertained, while being close to the city for day trips. The Playas del Este area where the Las Terrazas is located sits just to the west of Havana and is known for its amazing sandy stretches of sand and warm clear waters. Some Cubans call this area the Havana Riviera and many of them choose to come to this area for their summer breaks. With restaurants, bars, a grocery store, disco and regular entertainment at the Las Terrazas, it would be easy to while away a holiday without going very far. However, it is just a short distance to the centre of Havana by bus, so very well worth a trip. Here visitors can stroll through the squares and fortresses of Old Havana, marvelling at the 1950s cars and images of Che Guevara, or take in the many museums and galleries. A good free option is to take a stroll along the Malecon sea road, where the waves crash against the sea wall, and Havana's residents meet to socialise. A great night out for all the family is the famous Tropicana club, which has shows at night of Cuban dancing, music and cabaret.
