Once one of Havana’s hippest and most luxurious hotels during its mafia-owned years, the Capri is now enjoying a new lease of life after a complete renovation brought it back to its 50s heyday. After seven years of hard work, it reopened its doors to holidaymakers in January 2014 and it’s been on the up ever since.

  • Iconic rooftop swimming pool This pool on the roof offers breath-taking views over the capital and glistening sea
  • Full of history and beautifully refurbished A 1950's hotel rich in history with modern and spacious rooms
  • Waterfront on your doorstep In the heart of the city with the Malecon promenade footsteps away

You could hardly find a more ideal location in Havana. The glorious Malecon seaside promenade is only moments away, so you could while away the days soaking up the sun on the golden sands, taking a break to return to the hotel for lunch in one of the restaurants. You can step into the delightful AnaCapri restaurant straight off the street, and with its bright, enticing colour scheme and laid-back atmosphere, it’s a lovely place to sample the delicious Cuban cuisine. The hotel’s bars offer service with a smile and are great for getting to know your fellow travellers.

The Capri has a variety of rooms, but all offer unparalleled opulence and the chance to completely relax in a welcoming environment. If you book a suite, it’s like staying in your own apartment as you have your own entrance hall, living room, terrace and even a hydro-massage pool. The outdoor space is the ideal place to sip a cocktail while watching the sun sink into the bay. Needless to say, all rooms feature amazing views of the city and the sea.

The hotel is also ideally located right in the city centre so you can get out and explore Havana’s unique culture and friendly ambience. Lose yourself among the many bars and cafes while tapping your foot to the intoxicating beat of the rumba, or soak up the city’s colourful history at the museums and galleries of the old town.

Of course, the Malecon is one of the most ideal places to admire Havana’s grand old architecture. Aside from the Capri itself, there are many other old hotels and buildings, many pre-dating the Communist era, in stunning neoclassicist or Spanish style. There are many beachside cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal of freshly caught fish and gaze out over the beautiful Havana bay.
